Metal appears to be refinished, black, barrel and receiver 90%+. Importer marks barely visible, 'Arlington Ord, Arlington, VA'.  Barrel stamped 'Underwood' on top of front barrel behind front site.  Weak lettering. With '2 -  44' under 'Underwood', weak
Also a flaming bomb under the date
Front sight appears  to be 50+% finish does not match brl but not really noticable
Bore appear to be bright and I'd say very good..can't see any pitting
Bayonet type barrel band appears to be 80+% 'JI' Markings.
Slide early type…finish matches receiver and barrel
Flat bolt…finish on top maybe 90%
Adjustable read sight marked 'IRCO' over '7160060'
